At Zen Hair we are dedicated to improving the services we offer to our clients to help relieve some of the stress that comes with busy salon life. We are also eager to improve our sustainability as an ever-growing company within the hair industry. In the last year alone, we have imported some 4.5 tonnes of hair, covering some 28.6M3 volume of hair.

With this in mind, we wanted to provide our clients with a solution to reduce their carbon footprint – not only for their old hair extensions, but for the various other products they use in the salon (for example hair colour, the containers it comes in, foils etc.)
ABOUT THE SERVICE
After researching the different programs available within the industry, we were excited to find Green Salon Collective. We knew they were the perfect fit for our clients with their hassle free program!

Green Salon Collective operate within the UK & Ireland and are the first to locally recycle hair in to booms and mats to help clean up oil spills. Any hair that doesn’t make it into a hair boom or mat is sent to local farmers to be composted down and used to grow our food! Metals such as foils, hairspray cans and colour tubes are recycled and re purposed, and chemical waste is used to generate electricity for the UK National Grid!

We knew this would be of optimal benefit to our clients and wanted to present them with an offer that would make joining the Zen Hair Green Scheme cost free.
